Dr. Meckler has had extensive training in advanced microsurgical techniques in Endodontics. He is an active member of International Health Emissaries, where he travels to third world countries to provide free dental care to needy children.

Dr. Dean was a general dentist in the Army for two years.  Jon then went on to receive his Certificate in Endodontics from the Louisiana State University in 1997.  Following his residency Jon moved to San Francisco and worked as an associate at Union Square Endodontics for seven years.  Jon became a partner at Monterey Penninsula Endodontics in 2005.
