Endodontics Monterey CA

Drs. Jeffrey A. Meckler & Jon P. Dean

At Monterey Peninsula Endodontics our practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality, minimally invasive, root canal therapies in a comfortable and state-of-the-art environment. We strive to exceed your expectations every time. Our goal is to provide the best endodontic care because we understand nothing looks, feels, or functions quite like your natural teeth. We want to save you from the distress and expense that can be associated with losing a natural tooth.

We are a dental specialty practice dedicated exclusively to endodontic care. Drs Meckler and Dean are recognized leaders in endodontic care – the dental specialty devoted to treating root canals. Dr. Jeffrey A. Meckler is the only board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in Monterey and is the past president of the California State Association of Endodontists. Both doctors are specialist members of the American Association of Endodontics and both doctors are constantly involved in continuing education in order to stay abreast of the most current advances in our specialty. It is our philosophy to treat all our patients as if they were members of our own family. From the moment you call our office, through your treatment and aftercare. The doctors and our team will make you feel comfortable, assure that your questions are answered, and your needs are met.

The mission of Monterey Peninsula Endodontics is to provide our patients and referring doctors with the highest possible standard of care that exceeds their expectations in a timely and compassionate manner. Our goal is to provide innovative patient-centered care to prevent, diagnose, and treat endodontic disease and to be recognized as one of the world’s preeminent endodontic care facilities.

Monterey Peninsula Endodontics is committed to staying abreast of the latest technology and patient care to ensure that our patients receive the best treatment possible.

  • Operating Microscopes: Specialized operating microscopes are used during all phases of your endodontic treatment. Magnification and fiber optic illumination enable us to see small – often missed – details such as calcified canals and fractures.
  • Intraoral Digital Radiography: All radiographs are taken with digital sensors, providing instant viewing on our computer monitors while significantly reducing radiation levels compared to film-based x-rays. This technology also allows for secure electronic transfer of medical information to our patient’s co-therapists.
  • Limited Field Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT): We utilize a 3D CBCT machine (dental CT scan) to help diagnose complex cases and aid with pre-surgical planning. Our Carestream 9000 3D produces highly detailed three-dimensional digital radiographs of the jaws to image areas of interest with greatly reduced radiation when compared to medium and full field of view CBCT units.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Your endodontic treatment records and radiographs are kept in our secure computer system for both instant retrieval and remote consultation.
